This is an old incinerator that has been closed/inactive now for several decades. Now it is home to taggers and kids with BB guns. It’s a unique spot and has some great photo opportunities, if you’re into that kind of thing. It’s in a somewhat shady area, so use caution and stay alert if you decide to pay this place a visit.

Property is privately owned and attempts have been made to use the property and the building for car meets, tag park and other venues. However the building is too unsafe and the ground is toxic as well. Ive been here many times over the years and even climbed one of the smoke stacks. Enter at your own risk

Very popular place for terrible people to dump their pups. This needs to stop. Law enforcement or something needs to step in, these animals don’t deserve this.
About Echo Lake
Echo Lake's combination of intriguing history and modern-day drawbacks makes it a place of mixed reviews and adventurous exploration. Once a bustling site as an incinerator, Echo Lake now stands as a testament to urban decay, drawing in graffiti artists, curious adventurers, and unfortunately, those with less noble intentions. Despite its dark aspects, the site offers unique photographic opportunities for those exploring its iconic smoke stacks and graffiti-laden walls. However, potential visitors should heed the significant health and safety warnings; the ground is toxic, and the structure remains hazardous. Moreover, the serene idea of lake fishing is overshadowed by warnings not to consume fish due to contamination. For those undeterred by these realities, a visit to Echo Lake is best when equipped with caution and community spirit, such as joining one of the occasional cleanup crews tending to the area. Ultimately, Echo Lake is a poignant illustration of nature and neglect, a place where history and the issues of today collide.
