We did a 35 mile bike ride around the lake and up and down canals. It is just gorgeous. Alligators are everywhere and the birds are plentiful with a large variety. It is a very hard packed trail and at times a bit bumpy but all in all it was just a great day.

Great lake with lots of access points. Most recently explored in the Winter Garden area although it is such a large lake you can get access in many areas. Lots of gators, turtles and birds. We noticed most recently a lot more developments direct lakefront on Lake Apopka... lucky people!

Such a pleasant surprise! This lake is absolutely gorgeous, and I'm told you can catch a mean sunset here. They have a Pavillion you can rent, a well funded visitor center, great staff, a really nice playground, a dock.. I highly reccomend coming for a picnic or an evening out!
