Short drive on a dirt road to the small parking area at the edge of the reservoir. When we were there on a Saturday afternoon there were only a couple other small groups of people. It feels like you are in a secluded area. We walked a bit around the edge of the lake on the trail. Very tranquil spot.

It's closed to camping right now. It's a nice place for day hikes.

I enjoy going there. It's not crowded and plenty of room to fish. I did not like people leaving their trash all over! There were empty beer cans over an old fire pit someone had done! People, pick up after yourselves! It's not that hard!
About Scott Reservoir
Nestled in a serene, secluded area, Scott Reservoir offers a peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Though it spans just 80 acres, this reservoir, established in 1928, offers a charming setting for those in pursuit of tranquility. A short drive down a dirt road opens up to a small parking area, from where adventure unfolds. Visitors are greeted by scenic trails that wind around the lake, perfect for a leisurely walk or an invigorating day hike. While primarily known for its fishing, Scott Reservoir also provides ample space for those who simply want to relax by the water, embark on nature walks, or unleash their furry friends for an exhilarating run in the early hours, when solitude is nearly guaranteed. However, recent visitors have noted a disappointing lack of cleanliness, with rubbish such as beer cans disrupting the otherwise pristine views. So, adventurers are reminded to respect the space and uphold its natural beauty by packing out what they pack in. Scott Reservoir echoes the untouched beauty of nature with its low water levels giving it a raw charm. It's a place where you can sit by the shore amidst the occasional chirping of birds and watch the world slow down. Even though camping is currently off-limits, the reservoir remains a delightful spot for day visits, where quiet moments can be treasured. Plunge into its simple, rustic allure and enjoy a snippet of nature's fresh breath.
